Morey Saint Denis

It is finally here!!!! Last year I got a few six packs of a rare Morey St Denis Blanc that was so good, I almost kept it all for myself! It sold out quickly and everyone who tasted it wanted more. The Domaine agreed to send me more and about two months ago it arrived……..but they had shipped the Rouge by mistake. ARRRRGGG. Well I was told it just hit the warehouse the in Tampa and will be delivered to us on Monday. The wine is STUNNING. A MUST BUY! See what I wrote about the first shipment below.

There are 10 six packs available
Well 9 I’m taking one home

Great Burgundy is getting harder and harder to obtain. I spend lots of time trying to acquire wines that are true to their terroir. And this wine exceeds all expectations.l. I had not seen the Vincent St Denis name before which kind of shocked me since I have buying and drinking Burgundy for more than 30 years. I then discovered it is a another label produced by Domaine de Beaumont. After drinking, what is in my opinion, the over ripe 2015 vintage loved by Americans, it has been nice tasting the 2016 vintage which is much more correct. Here is a wine that every Burgundy Lover will cherish. This Morey Blanc is so rare I was only able to obtain 4, six packs! But that is Burgundy.

The wines arrives Monday
Grab what you can
It won’t last long

Vincent de Saint-Denis is the secondary label of the excellent and sought after Domaine des Beaumont. The 5.5 hectare estate comprised of 28 plots is located in Morey Saint-Denis and owned by Thierry & Vincent Beaumont (7th generation). All of the vineyards are located in Morey, Chambolle & Gevrey. The vineyard management and vinification is meticulously handled by Thierry while Vincent concentrates on the commerce. These are wines of with class and depth, always presenting upfront fruit, soil, tannin & oak in a very balanced fashion. All the fruit is 100% destemmed and vinification takes place in concrete tanks and all the wines are raised in barrel. Bourgogne and village wines see 1/3 new oak for 12 months on average while 1er Cru and Grand Cru see 2/3 new oak for 14 months.

Only 7 cases of this wine made it to the US. Morey blanc is a very rare thing Most are made from Aligote but this is 100% Chardonnay. Sexy, exotic nose with pear fruit, tropical hints, toast and vanilla notes. It presents a rich mouth feel loaded with fruit and lots of pear skins with other orchard fruits; lots of power with a lush finish and great length; pure luxury. This wine just knocks it out of the park!
