2014 Dirupi * Valtellina Superiore
Reg. price- $17.99btl
EMAIL DEAL- $12.99btl
The 2014 Valtellina Superiore is a delicate and refined expression of Nebbiolo with a fluttering of fast-paced aromas that resemble cassis, rose, violet and toasted anise seed. The wine is super lightweight on the palate, but it is lively too, leaving absolutely no traces of any residual heaviness. It wraps over the palate like silk sheets. This vintage is very open and accessible.
2017 Tami (Arianna Occhipinti) * Il Frappato
Reg. price- $19.99btl
EMAIL DEAL- $16btl- BEST PRICE EVER
The 2017 Il Frappato from Tami, a side project from Arianna Occhipinti, is a beautiful expression of the grape that shows grace and an almost fragile disposition. This is a lean-to mid-weight red wine with a bright bouquet that veers toward red berries and wild rose. Nice bright acidity on the finish that makes it clean and great with food.
2014 Agricola Punica * Barrua
Reg. price- $40btl
EMAIL DEAL- $30btl
Created by the same folks behind Tuscany’s legendary Sassicaia, this is an all-Sardinian blend of 85% Carignano, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. The 2014 Barrua is a beautifully balanced and seamless expression with dark fruit aromas that flow effortlessly from the bouquet. Those tones of blackberry, prune and dried fig segue to spice, tar, licorice and black olive. This vintage really works in terms of the intensity and the precision of the bouquet. The tannins are integrated, and the wine is layered and long lasting.
